About Southampton Soaps

All of their soaps are made with a base of organic coconut, palm *, and olive oil.  (Top secret!) Many blends are super fatted with additional oils such as castor, meadow foam seed oil, avocado oil, sweet almond oil, shea butter, calendula, arnica, etc.  We use essential oils to scent our soaps.  With the exception of our soaps made with goats milk and hive products, our soaps are vegan.  If you have any issues with skin sensitivity, rest assured these are gentle and safe for all, as we have created them out of need for our own ski

How to clean your silver jewelry!

 Every piece of James & Lily jewelry is designed to last. These are heirloom pieces, with a timeless elegance that will never go out of fashion. You can keep your James & Lily jewelry looking its very best for many years to come by following these few simple tips for cleaning sterling silver.

The easiest method is to fill a small bowl with warm water and some mild detergent. Rinse your silver jewelry in the soapy water, and scrub it gently with a clean, soft toothbrush to remove any dirt. Rinse the silver in clean running water and dry with a microfiber or lint free cloth.

If you prefer, there are also a number of great commercial silver cleaning substances on the market. Choose one with a good reputation and apply it to your jewelry with a soft brush or cloth. Rinse any residual solution away and dry immediately, buffing the jewelry with a clean brush or microfiber cloth to really bring out its shine. When not wearing your pieces always remember to put them away, if possible in an airtight bag in your jewelry box.

Make sure to clean your jewelry regularly to keep it from tarnishing and to ensure that it looks its best at all times!

Tuesday sneak peek

I can openly admit that I'm ready for Spring to hit NYC. I've started dressing like it's 50 degrees everyday  as my personal way to boycott the cold. I'm not proving anything to anyone..except maybe this behavior has resulted in a noticeable change in my voice, the result of a little cold no doubt. Regardless, Spring is nearly here, I declare AND just to prove it ......new Spring pieces. Let the daydreaming begin!!!!
