The Fluffball was able to raise over $31,000 for Best Friends Animal Society, and helped to bring awareness to the great work they are doing in Los Angeles through their No More Homeless Pets campaign!

• Initiate and lead social action on behalf of animals everywhere by providing organizational resources and vision, and by sharing our knowledge and experience freely, so that all communities can achieve the goal of No More Homeless Pets.

The Sky is the limit!

"The stars are the jewels of the night,
and perchance surpass anything which day has to show."

The brilliant Henry David Thoreau wrote such an epic statement in “Night and Moonlight”. He also stated that, “Nevertheless, even by night the sky is blue, and not black; for we see through the shadow of the earth into the distant atmosphere of day, where the sunbeams are reveling.” At the time, Henry had no idea that he was referring to the sky collection created by James and Lily Jewelry. Not only was he a prolific author and poet of his time, but he apparently also had a dash of ESP. It was so sweet of him to mention the collection. 

The sky collection was created for my fellow dreamers out there. Whimsical, serene, chic, and soulful are words that describe these beautiful pieces. I’ve always lived life without limits and hope that this collection inspires others to do just the same. As an artist and a dreamer, lots of heart and soul spilled onto each of these hand crafted pieces. When wearing the sky earrings, the light catches the dangling beauties in a way that seems angelic. They bathe in glimmer and dazzle no matter where you wear them. That’s particularly what I love about this collection. You can wear them for any occasion. 

When I created the sky bracelet, I imagine a woman wearing it not only because it makes her feel breathtakingly wonderful, but, because she can look down and use it as a compass in life and as a tender reminder to never give up hope. After all, the sky is the limit and you were made to do amazing things. My desire for you is to be fearless throughout life. And I only hope that you feel fearless while wearing the sky collection. Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss it you will land amongst the stars…and some really fabulous jewelry.

Actress Emmanuelle Vaugier and Aston Martin team up for the 3^rd Annual Fluffball™ to raise money for Best Friends Animal Society

About Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends Animal Society is a nonprofit organization building no-kill programs and partnerships that will bring about a day when there are No More Homeless Pets®.  The society's leading initiatives in animal care and community programs are coordinated from its Kanab, Utah, headquarters, the country's largest no-kill sanctuary. This work is made possible by the support of a grassroots network of members and community partners across the nation. In 2009, Best Friends celebrated its 25^th anniversary.

This VIP, private event will build off the success of last winter’s Fluffball ™, which hosted over 200 of Hollywood’s entertainment and social elite, and rose over $30,000 in one evening for the charity.

This year’s event will be held on Saturday, April 28^th from 7 p.m. – 9.m. at O’Connor’s home. Celebrity guests include: Amy Smart, Maggie Q (Nikita), Ahna O’Rielly (The Help), Elisabeth Shue, Rachelle Lefevre (Twilight), Amanda Crew (Charlie St. Cloud), and Ed Quinn (True Blood), to name a few (new celebrity RSVP’s confirming daily).

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Mounted Platoon is also a new addition to this years’ event, and will have officers on horseback greet guests as they enter. “We are beyond excited to support Emmanuelle and such a great cause to help animals,” says Sergeant II Mike Porter. “Our horses are invaluable to us, and we believe in advocating their rights and well-being.”

Aston Martin, the presenting sponsor of the third annual event, will display a few of its ultra- luxury vehicles at the entrance, including a Toro Red Rapide.

Guests will dine on gourmet vegetarian food catered by Infusion Catering, and sip on cocktails from Clase Azul Reposado. Other event donors and sponsors include James & Lily Jewelry John Masters Organics, JetBlue, fashion designer Dalia MacPhee, the Los Angeles Clippers, the Los Angeles Lakers, The Little Door Restaurant, Yakira Rona jewelry and many others.

I Heart NY

I love NY. I really do. Why else would I live in the Empire State? New York in one of those magical places on Earth that when you go there you dream. You dream big, wonderful, exciting dreams. New York is full of dreamers....like me. Now don't get me wrong there are some unfortunate things about the city and it can get you down from time to time but the magical thing about New York is, that anything is possible! You can do anything you want to do and be anyone you want to be! 

It's just like the song, "In New York, concrete jungle, where dreams are made of, there's nothing you can't do." You might think it's silly or cliche but is undoubtedly true. That is why I created the New York Necklace. It's risky to choose a favorite being the designer but I think the New York Necklace is one of them by far. New York is where I call home (for now), it's where I first launched by business, it's where I met my wonderful friends and a very special someone.
